About

“Hello, I’M DANIEL and I am the owner of Darkershadesofbrown Photography I was born somewhere in upstate NY and then grew up a fairly normal life. Along the way I went to a college where I learned about important things like student loans and how to prepare for life. I have lived in different cities and worked for some important companies so then I ended up where I am now. Photography is what I do today. I have won a bunch of important and or impressive awards for some of that stuff and I hope to continue doing that kind of stuff for a long time.”

O.k. So I didn’t really know what to write about myself as it seems like I would be trying to praise myself for some reason. Photography is my calling, my profession, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday. I don’t photograph subjects. I photograph the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft. I wrestle with every image I shoot. I assume perfection is possible and I want to wring it out of every picture. If that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me very, very well.
